Dan Swinimer

has 20 years experience in the music industry - both on the business and creative side. Dan's unique skill set - combining business experience and creative / musical talent have seen him involved in many successful ventures to date. Dan began his professional performance career in the bands "The Raindocks" and "Beautiful Losers". Dan played guitar, drums and sang, while also serving as Manager and booking agent for both bands. The Raindocks had much success playing the Ontario resort circuit, and "Beautiful Losers" toured throughout Ontario playing resorts and clubs - opening for high profile artists along the way.

During this time, Dan started to get serious about his songwriting, and moved to Vancouver to further his career in music. He teamed up with Jason Wilkinson to form the band "Superbeing", and again served as the band's manager and booking agent (in addition to playing drums, singing backing vocals and co-writing the band's material). Superbeing achieved great success, signing a major distribution deal with Warner Canada, and touring extensively - highlighted by showcases at esteemed festivals such as NXNE and CMW in Toronto, Music West in Vancouver, and opening slots for high profile bands such as Loverboy, Billy Talent, Theory Of A Deadman, Kim Mitchell and Mathew Good Band to name a few. Superbeing also won the highly regarded Vancouver radio contest "Seeds". Seeds has a rich history in launching some of the biggest bands in the world, such as past winners Nickelback, Default, The Veer Union and The Mathew Good Band.

In 2007, Dan left Superbeing and joined the band "Jet Black Stare". Shortly after, Jet Black Stare signed a management Deal with "Chief", (Nickelback / Hinder / Faber Drive) of Union Management, and an international record deal with Island Def Jam (a division of Universal) out of New York City. They also signed an international publishing deal with Sony, and an agency deal with The Agency Group.

Dan is still active with Jet Black Stare and the band is currently writing and recording it's second studio album. Dan is a co-writer, and is Producing and Engineering the album himself.

He is also managing and writing for 2 young bands - "Bullets In Overdrive", and "Love Sick Color" under his production company "Manicdown Productions". He continues to be very active as an engineer / producer / co-writer and recently, wrote, produced, engineered and mixed for the band "Beyond The Fall", who later won the Vancouver "Seeds" radio Competition for this song. This song is now getting regular rotation on radio, and the band is talks with various record labels regarding a deal. Dan also teaches Pro Tools at Pavi recording school, and does private recording classes in his studio.
